Meet Your Board Members
Yai Maglis - President
Hi, I'm Yai Maglis and I'm excited to be the 2024-2025 PTO President. I'm looking forward to continue with all the great initiatives and events from the previous years.
My daughter Alexandra is going into 7th grade and we have been part of the Plato Family for the past 5 years. We stay very busy with extra curricular activities. I have a full time job at an Advertising Firm (work from home), I'm a huge crafter and run my own side business (personalizing anything) and volunteer any other time to make the school a fun place for the kids and teachers! My goal is to always try to make things better and to help where ever I can! |
Cynthia Dumont - Director
Hello, my name is Cynthia and I was President of the PTO for the 2023-2024 school year. This year I will serving a Director and I hope to continue all the work we did last year.
My family immigrated to the USA from Canada 10 years ago, but I'm proud to say I've recently become an American Citizen! My family is relatively new to Plato Academy. I'm a happily married momma with three children. My son, Samuel, joined the school as a 7th grader in March of 2022, and my daughter, Teia, began 5th grade in the fall of the same year. I immediately joined PTO; not only to get engaged, but to learn more about the school, meet other parents and become better acquainted with the teachers and administration. Through these experiences and friendships, I decided to move from PTO member to the Executive Board. At my children’s previous school, I served as the VP of Fundraising, Yearbook Chairperson and ran the spirit wear campaign, so I'm no stranger to being involved. |

Jordan Stovall - Secretary
Hello PATS families! My name is Jordan and I am honored to be the PTO Secretary for the 2024-2025 school year. This year as a member of the board, I plan to help with organization, communication, planning of fun events and fundraisers, and so much more! I have close to a decade of experience in the insurance industry & many years of coordinating all things related to my family & home projects. I am enthusiastic and committed to this new endeavor as PTO Secretary!
I am happily married with 2 kids, a crazy puppy, and a cat. My children have both attended the Plato Tarpon Springs campus since they were 3 and we will continue their education here until they both graduate 8th grade. My son, Maverick, is going into 1st grade this year and my daughter, Mckenzie, is going into 3rd. It’s hard to believe how fast they grow up, so I stay involved and hands on with the school as much as I can! I enjoy volunteering and now helping with the behind the scenes plans to make our campus a fun & memorable place for our children. My favorite hobbies are hanging with my family, playing tennis, and anything outdoors. |
Sam Alkhouri - Intern
Hello, my name is Sam Alkhouri, and I will be shadowing the current PTO Vice President for the 2024-2025 school year. My son, who is 6 years old, will be starting 1st grade this year, and I also have a 1 year old daughter.
Las year, I thoroughly enjoyed volunteering at various events and being part of the Plato Academy community. I believe that raising a child takes a village, and I am delighted to be part of that village. With a Child Development Associate (CDA) credential and over six years of experience as a preschool teacher, I am passionate about early childhood education. Currently, my family and I run our own small business. I look forward to a wonderful year with our small school community! |
